On Thursday 7th March, we hired a bus and our group of graduates headed off to Martry Mill in Kells, Co Meath to see wheat being changed into wholemeal flour. We were welcomed by James, who owns the mill. We started our tour with a sampling session of wholemeal bread made for us by James before we all made another loaf of bread at the mill to take home. Then we had a very interesting tour of this historic mill which everyone really enjoyed.
