January in Blackbird 🐦⬛
We had a fantastic January in Blackbird! We learned all about winter. We had great fun observing the different signs of winter outside. We particularly loved the frosty winter days and admiring the frost on our morning walks and when we were playing outside during yard time. We wore our coats and hats outside because it was very cold!
We went to the side street cafe up the town for lunch. There are lots of yummy things to eat there! First we sat down, then we placed our orders and waited very patiently at the table until our food came. When we were finished we went up to the counter to pay our bill.
We learned how to make scrambled eggs in our classroom. We cracked the eggs into a bowl and we all had a turn beating the eggs with the whisk. Then we put them in the microwave and observed how they changed when heated. We tried our scrambled eggs when they were cooked. Some of us ate them and others touched and licked them! They were delicious!
We also celebrated our wonderful SNA Stephen’s birthday in January! We had chocolate cake and sang Happy Birthday!🥳 It was a great day!
We are so lucky to have an amazing active sensory room in our school! We go there twice a week! It has a swing, a trampoline and a climbing wall. We love visiting the active sensory room! It is so much fun!🤩
