On 12th June, the sun was shining and we set off for the astroturf pitch in Cootehill for sports day. Kerry had set up lots of different activities for us all to take part in; there was a penalty shoot out, parachute games, golf courses, obstacle courses and javelin and shot putt. We had great fun putting into action all the skills we have learned in PE throughout the year. After we had had a turn on all the stations the races began; we started with a sprint and then there was an egg and spoon race, thankfully there was no cheating!!
Kerry thought it would be great fun to get the staff to race, unfortunately (or fortunately) there is no photographic evidence of this!!
We finished off the sports activities with a tug of war and then headed back to school.
It was a great morning and we want to say a great big thank you to Kerry for all the hard work she put in getting it ready for us.
Starling class put in a great performance and we were all winners!!
