Huge thank you to Andrew Smith of Farnadolly Milk Barn in Cavan who welcomed us today for a visit to his farm. His sister Ashling is an SNA in our class.
We were lucky enough to get into the sheds to look at, and try to feed, some of the calves that will eventually provide milk to the barn. They were very friendly, let us pet them and even tried to eat Rachael's shorts!!!
After seeing the calves we went into the milk barn itself and used the vending machines to get bottles and then flavoured milk. We tried strawberry, chocolate and Kinder Bueno flavour and can highly recommend all of them.
We timed our visit just right and were lucky enough to get locally made cookies. These were also delicious!! We also tried some of the ice cream.
The bottles are reusable and we will DEFINITELY be refilling them.
A lovely visit and great milk. Well worth a trip for everyone.
